In this lesson:

Stain

Turns a shape into a brush stroke, allowing you to use primitives and curves to create textures over surfaces. Shapes with stain must be under the shapes you want to paint over.

Intersect

Display only the shapes that are within the bounds of the object with Intersect on. Everything that goes outside the shape will not be visible, basically a reverse negative. Objects with Instersect on must be under the ones you want to be affected by it in the scene list.
